JCGL has photographed two volumes of will books residing at the Jackson County Courthouse. the first, "Record of Wills, Volume 1, 1853-1889"
, includes all names mentioned in the will. Witnesses are indexed separately. Columns are provided for both the year the will was made and for the year it entered probate when these are different. The word "testator" appears if the name is for the person making the will and not for others mentioned in the will (e.g., heirs, legatees, executors, debtors, etc.). The page(s) in the will book where the name was referenced are shown in the final column.
