The Southern Oregon Historical Society
publishes a newsletter containing articles about the early history of Southern Oregon that are potentially of interest to genealogical researchers. The newsletter was originally entitled the Table Rock Sentinel
, but is currently published as Southern Oregon Heritage Today
. Our library has the first twelve volumes of the newsletter when it was known as the Table Rock Sentinel
, which were for the years 1981-1992. JCGL volunteers have recently created "all name" indexes for these twelve volumes. Perhaps of greatest genealogical interest is the first index which spans all twelve volumes and shows where in those volumes biographical sketches of named individuals can be found. Remaining indexes include locations of any references to a particular person's name, however slight.
