2024-80 Loretta moved that Kim Thurman continue to be a signer on all Banner Bank accounts. Rich Miles seconded. Motion carried.
Paul Milner Class The Paul Milner class is expensive. To cover costs, Jeanne Hoadley requested that his course be termed as a seminar rather than a workshop, so $45 for members and $55 for non-members can be charged rather than the lower workshop fee.
2024-81 Frank Marksman moved that we authorize the Paul Milner event to be called a seminar. Loretta Barker seconded. Motion carried.
Quilt Committee Anne Billeter presented a release form Sandra Sider for release of RVGS’ photos for her book,
American Quilts: Centennial, Bicentennial, and Beyond. Anne will follow up with quilt photographers for permission to share photos and complete the form. Board consensus granted to submit photos.

EXECUTIVE REPORTS
President Anne Billeter reported that a member had made a suggestion regarding the $50 membership fee to take effect in 2025. The member requested that those who rejoin be able to pay the $40 fee. The Board reached a consensus that this would not work because current members may allow membership to lapse and then “rejoin” at the old fee. Matt Weismantel suggested that in the future we may want to implement a multi-year membership discount. No action was taken. Anne also brought to our attention the upcoming 18 shelves to be added to the library, and that things will be in flux for a time.
Vice President Frank Marksman updated us on the status of the various grants for which he’s applied.
Trustee Ros Lyne noted that there is an uptick in research requests. Anne Billeter reminded the Board that the quorum for the Member Meeting needs to be recorded. Rich Miles suggested that the number of members present be stated at the Member Meeting when the quorum is established and entered into the minutes.

DIRECTORS
Volunteer German Interest group is getting going. A new facilitator has been found in Germany. He is not a member so Loretta Barker and Ann Baracker will act as Zoom hosts.
Technology Rich Miles reported that the Hellgate project is completed and invoiced, but we have not yet been paid. FindMyPast is having issues and is no longer available remotely. Kim Thurman is working on it.
Membership Loretta Barker informed us we are at 658 members. The Genie program is up and running and new members seem happy with the support. Genie progress will be added to the Member Report as needed.
Mailbox Renumbering It was brought up in conjunction with the Membership discussion that the current arrangement of our mailboxes is a bit confusing. It was recommended that left side boxes be numbered 1-60, and the boxes for Board Members begin at 101. Loretta will follow up with Terry Fischer.
Education Jeanne Hoadley reported that Ros Lyne is now coordinating Zoom hosts, but more are needed. Training provided. Not all classes are being recorded, so that will need to be clarified with Zoom hosts.
