Member Meeting Minutes
Call to Order President Anne Billeter called the meeting to order at 1:30 pm. A quorum was declared with 24 members present. The meeting was in person and via Zoom.
Approval of October Minutes Ruth Wade moved to approve the October 2024 Member Minutes. Lynne Hunter seconded. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report Kim Thurman updated the current finances.
Total income: $ 6,319.78
Total expenses: $ 5,963.30
Net operating income: $ 356.48

Approval of Proposed 2025 Budget Frances Huston moved to approve the 2025 budget as presented. Laurie Neff seconded. Motion carried.
Installation of 2025 Officers Ruth Wade installed the slate of Officers for 2025: Anne Billeter, President; Frank Marksman, Vice President; Cathy Ullrich, Secretary; Valerie Sanders, Treasurer; Ros Lyne, Trustee.
Member Sharing Ron Baracker reminded us of the Blue Bag 20% Bonus Nov. 15 through Dec. 2. Rich Miles did a promo on Facebook about our Blue Bags and the Bottle Drop recognized RVGS with a $100 donation.
Anne Billeter shared that the library is running out of shelving space. RVGS will be adding 18 more shelving sections to accommodate the newly donated books. Anne highlighted a few recent acquisitions. Mary Robsman will review selected new books in the Rogue Digger.
Reminder: The Member Recognition event is scheduled for 11 Jan 20.

Summary Reports
- Education – The Diana Elder Seminar was a success, both in terms of excellence, attendance, and revenue. The next Seminar will be on British Research, by Paul Milner, on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
- Membership - Loretta Barker - Membership stands at 658. The new Genie program to welcome new members is proving to be successful.
- Technology & Data Management – Our subscription to FindMyPast is currently available only in the Library. We are investigating the possibility of reinstating remote access.
- Volunteer - Ann Baracker - We currently have 82 volunteers, who worked 1,050 hours in October. The Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon will be on January 11, 2025. We could use some volunteers to help create some simple winter décor and help with set up and clean up.
- Library - Anne Billeter - In December we will be adding 18 sections of shelving to accommodate our growing Library collection. We will also be taking annual inventory of the library collection. Contact president@rvgslibrary.org if you would like to volunteer to help with inventory.
