Member Meeting Minutes
Call to Order - President Anne Billeter called the meeting to order at 1:30 pm. A quorum was declared with 17 members present and 3 on Zoom for a total of 20. The meeting was in person and via Zoom.
Approval of Minutes Rich Miles moved to approve the May 2025 Meeting Minutes. Valerie Sanders seconded. Motion carried.

Launch of Annual Fund Drive - Valerie Sanders reported the commencement of the Annual Fund Drive.

Summary Reports
- Education – Jeanne Hoadley - There will be no classes over the summer. They will resume with FREE Genealogy Week: September 22-27: 6 classes with practice sessions each afternoon, Monday - Saturday. The Special Interest Groups will continue to meet during the summer.
- Membership - Loretta Barker - Membership stands at 597. Membership retention continues to be a concern.
- Volunteer - Ann Baracker - We currently have 77 volunteers and have a number of vacant positions.
- Technology and Data Management - Rich Miles - We continue to see robust use of our subscriptions to MyHeritage and Newspaper Archives. HistoryGeo is a hidden gem which sees less use.
Upcoming Programs and Meetings:
- Roundtable: Let’s Talk Genealogy: Wednesday, June 18, 1:30 - 3:00 PM, facilitated by Rich Cunningham.
- Next Board Meeting: Monday, July 14, at 9:30 AM at the library and by zoom. Members welcome!
- Next Program & Member Meeting: Tuesday, September 16, at 1:30 PM, “Never Give Up” by Pat Pfremmer.
- “The Applegate Trail Quilt”: Thursday, June 26, at 1:00 PM, A Quilts and Genealogy program by Sue Waldron.
Upcoming Classes: Online pre-registration is required at www.rvgslibrary.org by noon the day before.
- Classes are now available as hybrid: register to receive Zoom link or view in the library.
- Practice Sessions do not require registration and are in person only.
- Genealogy Week: Monday, September 22 - Saturday, September 27. FREE. See separate handout.
- Upcoming Seminar: Saturday, October 25 - “Researching British Ancestors” - Paul Milner
