RVGS Program: “The Citizen Transcription Project” -

Summary Reports

1. Education – Jeanne Hoadley - The Seminar on “Researching Your English Ancestors” is this coming Saturday. Planning is under way for 2026 classes, programs, and the 2026 Seminar.
2. Membership - Loretta Barker - Membership stands at 607.
3. Volunteer - Ann Baracker - We currently have 77 volunteers and have a number of vacant positions.A new one-on-one Genealogy Coaching Program is slated to go live November 1.
4. Technology and Data Management - Rich Miles - Data from Genealogy Week revealed some interesting trends, including how people learned about it. Read the upcoming November eNewsfor the details.

• Next Board Meeting:  Monday, November 10, at 9:30 AM at the library and by zoom.
• FREE Research Day: Tuesday, November 11, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM at the library for all veterans and families of veterans.
• Next Program & Member Meeting:  Tuesday, November 18 at 1:30 PM, “Oral Stories from WW II” - Mary Robsman and Installation of RVGS 2026 Officers.
