To be eligible for the PIONEER or EARLY SETTLER CERTIFICATE:

1. Complete the form below.
2. Submit a copy/scan of two or more of the following proofs of eligibility (please do not send originals as they cannot be returned) via email to dorothy@mind.net, or drop off or mail copies to: Rogue Valley Genealogical Society Library, C/O Pioneer Certificate Coordinator, 3405 S Pacific Hwy, Medford, OR 97504.
3. Remit $10.00 for each certificate requested. Payment can be made online after completing the form below or submit a check payable to RVGS. 
4. Include an Ancestor Chart showing descendant’s relationship to ancestor.

Proof of Eligibility

1. A Federal Census of Oregon showing your ancestor.
2. School Records, school census, report.
3. Donation Land Claim or land ownership, plat maps, deeds.
4. Church membership, baptisms, or confirmation.
5. Declaration of Intent for Citizenship.
6. Marriage license certificate showing an Oregon location.
7. Bible record showing Oregon birth, marriage, or death.
8. Newspaper obituary or article showing Oregon residence.
9. Will, estate or probate records.
10. Oregon State or county history or biographies; give sources.
11. Picture of dated inscription on gravestone; give state and county location.
12. Other profs: letter, Bible records, diary entries.
