Library Reopening Announcement
The Library Reopening Task Force has targeted Monday, July 12, for reopening the Jackson County Genealogy Library to in-person research. While the date may seem quite distant, there are a number of items that need to be completed prior to turning on the lights and opening the doors. The Board of Directors is committed to ensuring the safety and comfort of both our members and volunteers. Due to a smaller pool of volunteer librarians, we anticipate beginning operations with reduced hours from our pre-pandemic schedule. State and county risk level guidelines will be followed, if in place at the time of opening. Oregon Health Authority requirements are quite fluid as COVID-19 cases decrease and vaccination numbers increase, and the Library Reopening Task Force will be monitoring changes over the next six weeks. Reopening guidelines will be announced here on our website as we near July 12th, as well as in our July edition of the eNews.
On behalf of the Board, I want to thank you in advance for your patience and support. We are looking forward to seeing all of your smiling faces again soon!
