Member Meeting Minutes
21 Nov 2023

Call to Order President Katie Haugse called the meeting to order at 1:32 pm. A quorum was declared. The meeting was in person and via Zoom.
Approval of October Minutes Lynne Hunter made a motion to approve the October minutes with one correction. Marilyn Ayres seconded. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report Kim Thurman presented the following Treasurer’s report:

Total income:                      $9,266.23
Total expense:                    $6,067.77
Net operating income:      $3,198.46
Net income:                         $3,435.31

Announcements The Toys for Tots dropoff bin is in the library. The Bottle Drop 20% bonus continues through December 2.

Officer Election Katie opened nominations. Kim Thurman nominated Laurie Gallo for Treasurer. Marilyn Ayres nominated Frank Marksman for Vice President. No additional nominations were received, and the slate of officers was accepted as follows by a vote of members:
President: Anne Billeter
Vice President: Frank Marksman
Secretary: Cathy Ullrich
Treasurer: Laurie Gallo
Trustee: Ros Lyne
THE DOORS CAN REMAIN OPEN!
 
Member Sharing Cathy Ullrich shared she’d found a divorce decree she’d been looking for and a picture of a third cousin who could be a twin. Kim Thurman found out she had relatives buried in Jackson County. Laurie Gallo shared that she found interesting Virginia connections via her husband’s DNA. Mary Robsman located a Civil War pension. Marilyn Ayres found her dad’s oldest half-brother in a German cemetery.

Board Actions
1. Education Committee:  Pat Jenkins – Next Education Meeting is December 4th at 9:30 AM in the library.  Anyone wishing to attend or join is welcome! 

2.  Memberships:  Loretta Barker– Total membership stands at 676 individuals.

3. Technology & Data Management: Rich Miles – All subscription websites (except Ancestry) remain accessible from home via our website.

4. Library:  Anne Billeter – would like to have a few more volunteers for librarian

5. Volunteer:  Lynne Hunter – numerous positions are open!  Please complete a Volunteer Application under Support Us on our website. 

Program Sue Waldron presented an informative program entitled “Louisa and the Modocs.”
