Call to Order President Anne Billeter called the meeting to order at 1:31 pm. A quorum was declared. The meeting was in person and via Zoom.
Approval of October Minutes Lynne Hunter made a motion to approve the November and December 2023 minutes. Katie Haugse seconded. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report Laurie Gallo presented the Treasurer’s report.

Total income:                            $5,356.14
Total expense:                          $4,454.37
Net operating income:               $   901.77
Net income:                              $2,506.11

Member Sharing Anne Billeter shared that FamilySearch has Church Member Census lists and she was able to find some birthdays and maiden names she’d been seeking. Ann Baracker reported that the German Drop-in Help session was successful with 17 attendees.
Board Actions
A survey of the RVGS members is being developed. The last survey was in 2019, prior to the new RVGS website, the pandemic, and the Almeda Fire.

Education - Pat Jenkins – Two classes are scheduled for each month in 2024, with an emphasis on our subscription websites.
Technology & Data Management - Rich Miles – We have 1,399 followers on Facebook, 110 on Instagram
Volunteer - Ann Baracker - We currently have 87 volunteers, who worked 10,427 hours in 2023.
Library - The annual inventory of the library collection was completed in December.  We now have 26,465 collection materials.
Membership - Loretta Barker - Membership currently stands at 663
Cataloged items - The Library Collection Report is available on the website.

Program George Herring presented an informative program entitled “Oregon Caves National Monument and Preserve.” A 30-year employee of the Park Service, Mr. Herring discussed the discovery, history, and use of the caves.
